Forty-four + years ago some wonderful folks in Ballard decided to get together and throw a salmon barbecue to celebrate the community's strong ties to the maritime industry and love of seafood. Our neighborhood honors that tradition and produces a fantastic free community event each year!

New Children's Play Area Proposed for Ballard Commons Park
The Ballard Alliance is working with the Ballard community to create a new play area in the Ballard Commons Park.* Our vision is to provide a new opportunity for year-round, active play for young children and their families. By creating new play space, we anticipate creating a refreshed park environment that increases the use and enjoyment of this beautiful urban park.
