Take the Salmon Stroll through Ballard and have some rainy-day fun. Salmon need water and spring showers reveal 10 hiding on the sidewalks of Ballard in front of parks or businesses. Find the numbered salmon that only appear when it is wet out and write down the business name or park you found it in front of in the boxes on the scorecard.
The 10 salmon are located somewhere within the highlighted oval in the map below.
Catch at least six secret salmon on your scorecard and receive a special prize from Sweet Mickey’s Candy Shoppe – 5338 Ballard Avenue NW, Seattle, WA 98107.
Printed Salmon Stroll Scorecards can be found at the Seattle Public Library – Ballard Branch, Sweet Mickey’s Candy Shoppe or download and print a pdf copy by clicking the button below.
This activity is free and is open to all ages. Remember, the salmon will only appear on wet pavement. This is one of the only times Seattleites will be hoping for rain. After you find 6 – 10 salmon, head to Sweet Mickey’s Candy Shoppe and politely share your completed scorecard to a shop attendant to receive your special prize.
