Felt is also called the “clay of textiles”. Felted flowers are perfect examples to understand this statement.
In this workshop you will learn to felt a complex 3D shape felt flower without using any resists. We’ll construct the flower step-by step starting with the stamen, attaching the petals, the stem and the leaf, from 19 micron merino wool. Using soap, water and agitation, the loose fibers will tangle and shrink, and become a strong material, felt.
