Join guide Matt Houghton to learn the basics for off-trail travel. This is NOT a compass lesson. We'll learn how to 'read' the landscape to pick out your own way, and how to read a topographic map to help you choose. Participant teams will be given your own maps and pencils to practice choosing cross-country routes.
