Ballard Boo! Bash Halloween Party

Get ready for Ballard’s ultimate neighborhood Halloween gathering! The Center for Spiritual Living Ballard and Sustainable Ballard present a festive, high-energy spooktacular. Our Games & Crafts Hall stays open all night long for all ages, while the Sanctuary stage features two distinct blocks of community sharing:
The Night’s Schedule
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM | The Boo Bash Activity Hall (Open All Night!) 🎨🍏
The games and crafts don’t stop! Open to kids, teens, and adults for the entire event.
• Monster Maker Crafts: Create your own spooky masks and masterpieces to take home.
• Ghoulish Games: Test your skills at creepy carnival games and win prizes.
• Sustainable Spooky Snacks: Skip the plastic candy wrappers! We are fueling the night with delicious, planet-friendly autumn refreshments and sustainable spooky treats.
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Kid-Friendly Open Mic (Sanctuary Stage) 🧒🎤
A lighthearted hour focused entirely on the little ghouls and goblins! Kids can step up to the mic to tell their favorite silly monster jokes, sing a song, or show off their costumes to a highly supportive crowd.
7:00 PM – 7:15 PM | The Great Coven Sorting & Pact (Sanctuary)
Neighbors draw from a hat to see which Coven has been assigned to them.
Gather in your spirit house in the sanctuary to invent your custom coven name, create a talisman, claim a group superpower, and agree to the Ghostly Pact (ensuring all voices in the circle are deeply heard and cheered for).
7:15 PM – 9:00 PM | Holy Spirits & Haunting Grooves (Sanctuary Stage)🎸💀
The lights dim as we shift into a rowdy, high-vibe night of community music and storytelling backed by our live house jam band. Kids and families are absolutely welcome to stay! Just note that the subject matter shifts from “silly jokes” to genuine ghost encounters, suspenseful tales, and awesome local music.
• The Challenge: Grab a 5-minute slot to share a spooky tale, play a haunting melody, or read your creative autumn prose. Please email info@sustainableballard to secure a spot on the schedule. No alcohol here – just pure community spirit and adrenaline! No cold spotlights or awkward silences – the band is ready to add eerie backing grooves or play a dramatic spooky funeral march if a 5-minute share runs too long.
• The Audience: Not sharing tonight? We need you in the pews! Come ready to gasp, laugh, cheer, and wake the dead.
